Dr. Ian Neuhard

Bio

Dr. Ian Neuhard currently serves as Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Florida SouthWestern State College.  He has had an extensive career spanning more than 35 years as a teacher and higher education administrator.  Dr. Neuhard has worked in almost every sector of education including community-based nonprofits, K-12 Public Schools, community/state colleges, private universities, and the Florida Department of Education’s Division of Community Colleges and Workforce Education where he was responsible for academic programs statewide—including the implementation and growth of baccalaureate degrees in areas of critical workforce need.  While serving as South Campus President at Florida State College at Jacksonville, Dr. Neuhard supported athletic facilities, operations, and the institution’s Athletic Director.  At FSW, he is proud to have the Buccaneer Athletic Department as a key member of the Division of Student Affairs where student-athletes have opportunities to learn, grow and develop in the classroom, on their athletic teams, and as leaders within the FSW community.  Dr. Neuhard holds degrees from Valencia College, the University of Central Florida, Alfred University, and the University of Florida.  He is a life-long sports fan who grew up in Williamsport, Pennsylvania—the home of Little League Baseball—where he patrolled center field for a team sponsored by the Stone Container Corporation.
