FSW Continues Upward Trend in National Poll
The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers continued their upward trend in the NJCAA National Rankings on Monday, climbing one spot to #11 in the Week 9 Poll.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers continued their upward trend in the NJCAA National Rankings on Monday, climbing one spot to #11 in the Week 9 Poll.
Last week was a big week for the Bucs who went a perfect 4-0 on four consecutive days, clinching their second straight Suncoast Conference Championship in the process. FSW is 41-13 on the season and is riding an eight game winning streak as the regular season begins to draw to a close.
There was some shuffling on top of the poll this week with San Jacinto, Crowder, and Central Arizona moving around to round out the top five behind Wabash Valley and Walters State at the top. Santa Fe was this week's biggest riser, moving up three spots to #8 after their Mid-Florida Conference Championship. Johnson County and John A. Logan each dropped four spots.
With the conference title and their ticket to the postseason already in the bag, the Bucs are back in action tonight on the road at State College of Florida where they will take on the Manatees in a 6 PM first pitch in Bradenton. They return home for the final time in 2021 on Wednesday to host the Manatees in the two team's regular season finales.
