Bio
Freshman (2021): Baumer saw time in 35 games both as a pitcher and a hitter for the Bucs as a freshman in 2021. He hit .292 with 15 RBIs at the plate and posted a 2.70 ERA on the mound in five appearances. Baumer's hits came in bunches during his rookie campaign as he dialed up nine multi-hit games including four straight late in the season to help the Bucs clinch their second straight Suncoast Conference Championship.
High School: Baumer came to FSW all the way from Germany where he attended Gymnasium Alstertal. He collected European Championships with Germany in both 2015 and 2017.
Personal: Born January 16, 2002, he is the son of Petra Baumer and Jurgen Zuhlke. He has a sister, Hanna, and a brother, Christian.

For the third time in three days, the #15 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers dropped a one run game Monday afternoon at City of Palms Park in Downtown Fort Myers as Indian River scored an 8th inning run to beat the Bucs 4-3 to drop FSW to 8-7 on the year.
The best was saved for the last at the Marissa Gusto Memorial Tournament at City of Palms Park in Downtown Fort Myers as the 3-0 and 15th ranked Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers squared off against the 2-0 and 8th ranked Miami Dade Sharks Sunday afternoon. The Bucs jumped in front early, scoring in four of the first five innings to get out to a 6-1 lead, but had to hang on late for an 8-7 win to finish the weekend undefeated.
