Freshman* (2021): Forchic transfers to FSW after playing at Lynn University where he was a 2nd Team All-Conference pick a season ago when he hit .310 with a pair of home runs and 7 RBIs on the year.  

Freshman (2020): Forchic hit .286 as a rookie, playing in 12 games before the season was halted due to Covid-19.  

High School: Forchic prepped at St. John Paul Academy where he was a two time All-District selection.  As a senior he hit .342 with 3 home runs and 21 RBIs.  

Personal: Born October 11, 2000, he is the son of Erin and Derek Forchic who were both college athletes themselves at Barry University. he has a younger sister Bryn (17).

Bucs Come Up Short Against Pioneers To See Season Come To A Close

The #8 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers battled back late from a 3-0 deficit to tie game three of the Fort Myers Regional Sunday afternoon at City of Palms Park in Downtown Fort Myers, but a 9th inning run from Indian River broke a 3-3 tie and the Bucs were unable to score in their final trips to the plate, falling 4-3 to end their 2022 season.

Ellerts, Holiday Shutout Indian River to Open Postseason

Suncoast Conference Pitcher of the Year Magnus Ellerts threw six scoreless innings and Suncoast Conference Fireman of the Year Brian Holiday threw three innings of one hit baseball to close out the shutout as the #8 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers cruised past the Indian River Pioneers 7-0 in game one of their best of three series to kick off the 2022 FCSAA State Tournament in Fort Myers.

Bucs Seal Up Suncoast Conference's Best Season In 15+ Years

The #9 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers wrapped up the best regular season by a Suncoast Conference team in at least 15 years on Wednesday, blasting the State College of Florida Manatees 14-5 to finish the regular season 40-14 overall and a sparkling 24-4 in conference play.

Behind an outstanding effort out of the bullpen from Brian Holiday and clutch late RBI double from Simon Baumer, the #11 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers claimed their third consecutive Suncoast Conference Championship Wednesday night on the road in Winter Haven, hanging on for a 2-1 win over the Polk State Eagles to start the celebration and send themselves into the postseason on a high note.

Besser Deals Bucs to Series Clinching Win

Sometimes relief pitchers come in and get an out to get their team out of a jam, or sometimes they throw a scoreless inning to close out a win, and then there is what Grant Besser did for the #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers Monday afternoon in Downtown Fort Myers.  Besser entered early in what was shaping up to be a shootout between the Bucs and the State College of Florida Manatees and threw five innings of sparkling relief, allowing just one run to will FSW to a 9-6 win to clinch the series win and cut the Bucs magic number for their third straight Suncoast Conference Championship to just one.

Norman's 8th Inning Blast Propels Bucs Over Panthers

After struggling to come up with the big hit for seven innings Monday afternoon at City of Palms Park, the #17 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers got one big swing of the bat of freshman Satchell Norman to change all of that in the 8th as Norman cranked a three run home run, turning a 3-1 FSW deficit against the visiting South Florida State Panthers, into a 4-3 Bucs lead which they closed out in the 9th for their seventh consecutive victory.

Two days ago Florida SouthWestern's Hunter Fitz-Gerald did in the Polk State Eagles with a three home run, seven RBI game in the two teams Suncoast Conference opener, Monday the Bucs got the favor returned as Polk's Jack Duffy launched three long balls to lead the Eagles to an 8-7 extra innings win to even the series at one game apiece.

Bucs Break Out Against Silver Storm

After dropping three straight games by a total of four runs, the #15 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers took out their frustrations on the ASA Miami Silver Storm Friday afternoon at City of Palms Park in Downtown Fort Myers, ripping the ASA pitching staff for 30 runs in a doubleheader to sweep the Silver Storm 17-7 and 13-8 to improve to 10-8 on the year.
