Freshman* (2022): Hoover pitched in 15 games last season at Garrett College in Maryland where he was 5-3 with a 5.89 ERA.  He put up big strikeout numbers with 72 punchouts in 47 1/3 innings pitched. 

Freshman (2021): Hoover threw in 13 games and drew 5 starts as a true freshman in 2021, going 2-3 with a save in 30 2/3 innings pitched.  He posted a 5.58 ERA, striking out 34.

High School: Prepped at Central High School where he also participated in Football and Baskteball. 

Pesonal: Born September 18, 2001, he is the son of Jered and Angela Hoover.  He has two beothers, Kyle and Kobi, and one sister, Kynli.

In game one of the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers' three game FCSAA State Tournament series with #3 Central Florida, it was the big innings from the Patriots that did the Purple and Aqua in.  Saturday it was the opposite as the Patriots scored in eight of nine innings, answering every FSW push with their own as the Bucs season came to a close with a 12-6 win by Central Florida to sweep the series 2-0.

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers are headed back to the postseason. Johnnie Lopez cranked a pair of home runs and Kelan Hoover threw six solid innings on the mound as the Bucs beat the visiting Eastern Florida State Titans 8-2 to seal up second place in the Southern Conference standings and punch their ticket to the 2023 NJCAA Region VIII Tournament.

Bucs Can't Hold Late Lead, Drop Series Opener to Titans

The formula has worked all season long for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, grab a lead in the middle innings and hand it over to your bullpen to finish it off.  Unfortunately for the Purple and Aqua, that formula was foiled by a five run 8th inning comeback by Eastern Florida on Friday as the Titans stormed back late to erase a 5-3 Buccaneer lead to win it 8-5 in the two teams series opener.

Florida SouthWestern sophomore slugger Derek Williams set a new program single season record with his 13th home run of the season on Friday, but it wasn't enough as the Buccaneers fell 7-4 to the Miami Dade Sharks to drop their first Southern Conference series of the year.

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were disappointed, maybe even embarrassed Wednesday as their six game win streak was ended by A3 Academy on their home field at Buccaneers Park. Late Hiccup Costs Bucs Against Bobcats

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were three outs away from victory against the East Georgia Bobcats Friday afternoon at the Capital City Bank Classic in Palatka, but unfortunately for the Bucs, before they were able to secure the three outs, the Bobcats scored three runs to come from behind for a 5-3 win.
