Bucs Land Five on All-FCSAA Squad
Five Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will be donning some new hardware in this weekend's FCSAA Final Four as Nik Pereira, Jake Mueller, Abel Albarran, Carlos Sanchez, and Devin Parks were honored on Thursday night at the FCSAA Championship banquet with All-FCSAA awards for their work during the 2025 season.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Five Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will be donning some new hardware in this weekend's FCSAA Final Four as Nik Pereira, Jake Mueller, Abel Albarran, Carlos Sanchez, and Devin Parks were honored on Thursday night at the FCSAA Championship banquet with All-FCSAA awards for their work during the 2025 season.
Pereira was the lone FSW player to earn 1st Team All-FCSAA honors for the top ranked team in the state. He finished in the Top 10 in the state in home runs with 10 while hitting .351 and scoring 52 runs.
Four Bucs found their way onto the 2nd Team All-FSCAA squad.
A pair of Bucs outfielders were on the 2nd Team as Carlos Sanchez and Devin Parks paired up there. Sanchez was the only player in the state this season to drive in 50 runs and steal 30 bases and also finished 3rd in the state with 17 doubles. Parks had a solid overall year for the Bucs, posting a 1.043 OPS with 9 doubles, 4 triples, and 5 home runs in 47 games.
Slugging first baseman Jake Mueller picked up 2nd Team honors of the infield. Mueller led the state with 19 doubles while finishing just two RBIs off the state lead with 59 and also banging 13 home runs which was 4th in the state.
The final of the Bucs four 2nd Teamers was ace Abel Albarran. Albarran ranked 8th in the state with 6 wins on the year while also ranking in the Top 10 with a 3.96 ERA. He logged a team best 63 2/3 innings, dialing up 57 strikeouts on the year.
The quintet and the rest of the Bucs will be back in action on Friday at the FCSAA Championships in Port Charlotte where they will take on #22 State College of Florida in a 1PM first pitch from Charlotte Sports Park.
