FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern slugger Jake Mueller is taking his bat and heading to the Tar Heel State next season after signing with the University of North Carolina Greensboro where he will reunite with Bucs teammate Anthony Ruocco with the Spartans.
Mueller was a 1st Team All-Citrus Conference selection in his homecoming back to Fort Myers for his sophomore season. He was a force in the middle of the Buccaneer lineup, finishing second in the state in both doubles with 19 and RBIs with 63 while launching 15 home runs which was fifth most in a season by an FSW player in program history.
