FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern's Beau Brailey is headed back to the Division I level after coming to FSW from the University of Alabama and helping the Bucs to the Juco World Series this season, he has signed at Campbell University to play for the Fighting Camels next season.
Brailey pitched in 19 games out of the bullpen for the Bucs this season, going 3-0 with a 7.43 ERA. He came up big down the stretch, throwing in five postseason contests and went over a month without allowing an earned run from April 5th to May 11th to help the Bucs clinch their first Citrus Conference Championship in program history.
Campbell went just 25-31 a season ago, but the Fighting Camels have a rich Baseball history that includes four trips to the NCAA Tournament in the past 10 years.
Brailey is one of seven Bucs that have signed at the Division I level this season and one of nine overall who have signed at the next level thus far, joining Abel Albarran (Middle Tennessee St.), Luke Orfi (Texas Tech), Jake Mueller & Anthony Ruocco (UNC-Greensboro), Brock Knoerr (Western Kentucky), Nathan Fink (Sam Houston State), and Nik Pereira & Josiah Velazquez (Tampa).
