Florida SouthWestern righthander Brett Dennis will remain in the Sunshine State next season after signing with Rollins College to pitch for the Tars next season.
FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern righthander Brett Dennis will remain in the Sunshine State next season after signing with Rollins College to pitch for the Tars next season.
Dennis pitched in nine games for the Bucs this season, drawing four starts and striking out 17 opposing hitters in 15 1/3 innings pitched. His best outing of his sophomore campaign came against eventual DII National Champions Pasco-Hernando when he threw two scoreless innings of relief, allowing just one hit against the Bobcats.
Rollins is coming off of a 29-19 campaign which saw them ranked as high as #16 in the NCAA Division II rankings.
Dennis is one 13 FSW sophomores who have signed at the next level thus far, joining Abel Albarran (Middle Tennessee St.), Luke Orfi (Texas Tech), Jake Mueller & Anthony Ruocco (UNC-Greensboro), Brock Knoerr (Western Kentucky), Nathan Fink (Sam Houston State), Beau Brailey (Campbell), Nik Pereira & Josiah Velazquez (Tampa), Devin Parks (Radford), Brandon Eldridge (Gardner Webb), and Carlos Sanchez (LSU-Shreveport).
