FSW Homers Four Times in Win Over Pioneers

After a pair of quiet innings to start the ballgame, the Bucs cracked the scoreboard first in the 3rd as Nick April-Gath homered for the second straight game, a three run shot and later in the inning Robbie Demetree hit his second grand slam in a week to blow the Bucs lead open to 7-0 in the blink of an eye.
Indian River took advantage of an FSW error in the 3rd by turning their extra out into a three run home run to left to get right back into the game at 7-3 at the end of three.
The Bucs home run derby continued in the 5th as Aiden Talarico began the frame with a solo shot to left to make it 8-3 and after an RBI double by Keenan Jabeth, Andy Perez blasted a two run shot of his own to make it 11-3 FSW.
The Bucs bullpen took it from there as Gavin Kindell and Brady Jones silenced the Pioneer bats, putting up three straight zeroes to finish the game and kick in the run rule as FSW took the game 11-3 in seven.
FSW outhit Indian River 10-5 in the contest with eight different players recording hits. Demetree led the way, going 2-4 with his 3rd inning grand slam and two runs scored while Jabeth also collected a pair of knocks, going 2-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Kindell earned the win in relief, going 2 1/3 scoreless innings to improve to 2-0 on the year before turning it over to Jones who fired two scoreless frames of his own to close things out.
FSW improves to 26-7 on the year with the win while Indian River falls to 15-16.
The Bucs begin a three game series at home on Thursday when they host Daytona State in a 3 PM first pitch from Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers.
