Bucs Speedster Signs With Stetson
Following an All-Conference sophomore campaign with the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers, center fielder Bishop Quarles is headed up the road to play at the Division I level after signing with Stetson University earlier this week.
FORT MYERS, Fla.- Following an All-Conference sophomore campaign with the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers, center fielder Bishop Quarles is headed up the road to play at the Division I level after signing with Stetson University earlier this week.
Quarles was a 2nd Team All-Citrus Conference pick for the Bucs, hitting .348 with 7 home runs and 24 stolen bases on the year. He accounted for 97 runs in 49 games played for FSW, scoring 59 and driving in another 38. He had 15 multi-hit games for the Bucs this season including a career best 4-4 game on opening weekend against Lake Land when he missed hitting for the cycle by just a triple while driving in six runs in a 15-3 FSW win.
He joins a Stetson program that made back to back trips to the NCAA Tournament in 2024 and 2025. This season the Hatters finished 23-32 overall and 13-16 in ASUN action.
Quarles is one of 11 Division I signees off the Bucs 2026 roster, joining Robbie Demetree & Cole Greer (Tulane), Gavin Kindell (South Alabama), Greg Caban (Eastern Kentucky), Nick April-Gath (Florida International), Anthony Wilkie (Florida Atlantic), Nicholas Lorenz (East Carolina), Judd Hildreth (Murray State), Parker Burgess (College of Charleston), and Evan Taveras (Central Florida).
