Grzesiak Headed Home to JMU
After spending the last three seasons in the Sunshine State with the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers, righthander Ryan Grzesiak will be headed back home to Virginia next season after signing with James Madison University.
FORT MYERS, Fla.- After spending the last three seasons in the Sunshine State with the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers, righthander Ryan Grzesiak will be headed back home to Virginia next season after signing with James Madison University.
Grzesiak pitched in 33 career games for the Bucs including 16 as a freshman in 2024 and 14 this season as a sophomore after picking up a medical redshirt following an injury in 2025. He averaged over 10 strikeouts per nine in all three seasons, wrapping up his FSW career with 53 punchouts in 43 2/3 innings pitched, good for a 10.92 per 9 clip. He finished 3-1 with a pair of saves with 32 of his 33 appearances coming out of the FSW bullpen.
He will join a JMU squad coming off of a 21-32 campaign that saw them go 11-19 in Sun Belt Conference action.
Grzesiak is one of 13 Division I signees off the Bucs 2026 roster, joining Robbie Demetree & Cole Greer (Tulane), Gavin Kindell (South Alabama), Greg Caban (Eastern Kentucky), Bishop Quarles (Stetson), Anthony Wilkie (Florida Atlantic), Jonah St. Antoine (Florida Gulf Coast), Nick April-Gath (Florida International), Nicholas Lorenz (East Carolina), Judd Hildreth (Murray State), Parker Burgess (College of Charleston), and Evan Taveras (Central Florida).
