Six Straight Weeks in NJCAA Top Five For FSW
Sitting at 23-1, with more wins than any other team in the country, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained at #2 in the NJCAA National Poll in Monday’s release, marking the sixth straight week that the Bucs have been ranked inside the top five.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Sitting at 23-1, with more wins than any other team in the country, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained at #2 in the NJCAA National Poll in Monday's release, marking the sixth straight week that the Bucs have been ranked inside the top five.
FSW rolled to two more 20+ point wins this week, running their win streak to 16 games. The wins also pushed the Bucs to 6-0 in Suncoast Conference play.
Outside of Ranger at #1, FSW at #2, and Pearl River at #3, the week nine poll was thrown in a laundry machine and taken for a spin to produce the week ten poll. Mineral Area and Indian Hills jumped three spots each into the top five at #4 and #5 while Cowley and Otero did the same to fall behind them at #6 and #7. Region VIII took a hit in this week's poll, with Tallahassee falling five spots to #20 and Central Florida going from #14 to completely out of the poll. Gulf Coast State did jump into the poll, going all the way from unranked to #17 after a pair of victories.
FSW has their Suncoast Conference bye on Wednesday and will return to the floor on Saturday when they travel to Bradenton to take on State College of Florida in a 4 PM tip.
