Bio

Freshman (2019-2020): Jackson transfers to FSW after a season at UMass where he played in 15 games and drew one start while averaging 1.5 points per game.  The breakout game of his freshman season came against Maine when he played a career high 24 minutes and scored a career high 10 points in a win over the Black Bears.  

High School: Prior to his time in the Northeast, Jackson played at Greenforest Academy where he earned four letters.  As a senior he averaged 23 points and 9 rebounds per game, earning 1st Team All-Region and 2nd Team All-State honors. 

Personal: Born September 12, 2000, he is the son of Elfrem Jackson who starred at the University of Georgia and Georgia State in the late 80s.

Bucs Crash Glass For Road Win at Palm Beach

If you were just to look at the shooting numbers from Saturday's Florida SouthWestern vs. Palm Beach Men's Basketball game, you would think that it was a nip and tuck battle that went down to the wire.  Both teams shot 41% from the field and the Bucs made five threes to Palm Beach's four while the difference at the free throw line was just two points.  The difference though, was on the glass, where FSW outrebounded the Panthers by 19, including 22 offensive boards, leading to 18 more field goal attempts in the contest.  With all of that said, it was not a close contest, as the 13th ranked Bucs raced out to a 12 point halftime lead before running away with an 82-65 win late to improve to 16-2 on the year.

High Flying Bucs Lead Wire to Wire Against Panthers

The #13 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers put on a show for their home crowd Saturday afternoon in Suncoast Credit Union Arena, topping the 90 point mark for the seventh straight game and leading wire to wire in a 98-64 win over the visiting Palm Beach State Panthers in Southern Conference action.

8th Ranked Bucs Earn Road Win at Polk

The #8 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers relied on their calling card, defense, Saturday night as they hit the road for the first time this season against Polk State.  The Bucs held the Eagles under 40% shooting and just one three pointer all night to come away with a 75-62 win to improve to 2-0 on the young season.

Bucs Shake Off Slow Start For Opening Night Win

After losing nine players to the NCAA Division I level from a season ago, there was no doubt that things would look a little bit different for the 8th ranked Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers this season.  That played true opening night as the Bucs used a more physical style than in past seasons, erasing a two point halftime deficit to grind past visiting Hillsborough 76-71 in Suncoast Credit Union Arena Wednesday night.

Bucs Retool with Nine Newcomers on 2020-2021 Roster

After moving eight players on to the NCAA Division I level last season, a Florida SouthWestern State Men’s Basketball program that has gone 59-5 over the past two seasons had lots of restocking to do for 2020-2021. Head Coach Eric Murphy feel like the Bucs have done just that, adding nine newcomers to the fold including a pair of Division I transfers to go with a talented freshman crop.
