CHARLOTTE, N.C.- A 2-0 week kept the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers at #13 in the NJCAA National Rankings as announced by the National Office Monday afternoon.
The Bucs earned Southern Conference wins over Miami Dade and State College of Florida last week, improving to 8-1 on the year. Wednesday against Miami Dade the Bucs used a big second half to run away with a 95-79 win over the Sharks before topping the century mark in a 102-71 win over the Manatees on Saturday.
The top 15 in the week five poll was mostly unchanged with the only differences from a week ago coming with Pearl River dropping from #2 to #10 and everyone else in the top 10 moving up a spot to fill the void. The final 10 in the poll were shook up and thrown into new spots with each one of the spots featuring a new team this week. Joining the Bucs and #6 Tallahassee from Florida this week was poll newcomer Chipola at #20.
The Bucs are back in action tonight at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in a 7 PM tip against Victory Rock Prep.
