#17 FSW Hammers #2 Indian River

In their last five meetings with the Indian River Pioneers, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers just couldn't get over the hump.  Going into Wednesday's Top 20 battle between #17 FSW and #2 Indian River, the Pioneers had won five straight over the Bucs, none coming by more than five points and two needing overtime.  To say FSW was frustrated with those results may be the understatement of the year.  Wednesday, the Bucs took out those frustrations on the Pioneers, jumping out to a 6-0 lead to begin the game and never trailing, going up by as many as 19 late in the second half before finishing off a 75-66 win to net their highest ranked win in program history.

#12 FSW Wins Overtime Thriller

For the first 30 minutes of the #12 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers' game against the Hillsborough Hawks Wednesday night on the road in Tampa, nothing could go right for the Bucs and everything went right for the Hawks, to the tune of a 13 point lead for Hillsborough with 10:00 to play in the game.  That's when a light switch flipped for the Bucs and they slowly made their comeback before a three pointer with under a second remaining in regulation broke an 81-81 tie.  The ensuing plays can only be described as madness, allowing the Hawks to tie the game, but FSW regained its composure and the Bucs went on to win it 93-90 in overtime to improve to 17-2 on the season.
