CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Riding a seven game winning streak into the new year, the Florida SouthWestern State Bucccaneers climbed up two more spots to #18 in the week 7 NJCAA National Rankings released by the National Office Monday.
The Bucs improved to 12-2 on the year with a pair of wins since the week 6 poll. They won a wild game in overtime on the road at Polk State in mid-December before blowing out Illinois Central last week at home in Suncoast Arena.
For the first time this season, there was actually some stability in the poll from the previous week. The top five teams all remained intact with Salt Lake, Kilgore, John A. Logan, Northwest Florida, and Dodge City leading the way into 2022. Jones and East Mississippi gained the most ground over the break, each moving up three spots to #10 and #16 respectively while Snow took the biggest hit, dropping from #15 to #20.
FSW is in action at home twice this week, taking on the 212 Academy in a tune up Tuesday before hosting Hillsborough Saturday in the two teams 2022 Southern Conference openers.
