Bucs Move Up in National Poll For Third Straight Week
For the third consecutive week, the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers moved up the NJCAA National Rankings released by the National Office Monday, this week jumping up two spots to #16 in the country.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- For the third consecutive week, the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers moved up the NJCAA National Rankings released by the National Office Monday, this week jumping up two spots to #16 in the country.
The Bucs won their eighth straight contest Tuesday, blowing out the visiting 212 Academy 125-52 to improve to 13-2 on the year.
The top four teams in the week 8 poll remained the same with undefeated Salt Lake and Kilgore continuing to lead the way with John A. Logan and Northwest Florida following in behind them. Hutchinson jumped two spots to round out this week's top 5. The Bucs were one of four teams from the Sunshine State in the Top 20 this week, joined by Northwest Florida at #4, Indian River at #7, and Chipola at #9.
The Bucs return to the court on Saturday when they host Miami Dade in what has turned into their Southern Conference opener. The Bucs and Sharks will tip off in an early start at noon in Suncoast Arena.
