Bio

Freshman (2022-2023): Jones transfers to FSW from Morehead State where he played in 10 games as a freshman last season.

High School: Jones played his first three seasons at Oxon Hill High School before finishing his high school career at Flint Hill where he averaged 8 points and 9 rebounds per game.  

Personal: Born January 5, 2003, he is the son of Michelle Jonasson-Jones who played at the University of Winnipeg before playing professionally overseas and Thomas 'Speedy' Jones who played at the University of Maryland before playing pro overseas as well. He has five sisters, Brittany (37), Ria (19), Renee (17), Ryla (17), and Rainelle (23) who fnished her Volleyball career last season at the University of Maryland with the 5th most blocks in Big 10 history (718).

Huge Second Half Comeback Nets Bucs Win Over Mustangs

With 18:00 left in Friday's game against the Monroe Mustangs, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers looked like they were in trouble, trailing their counterparts from New York by 15.  Fast forward 16 minutes on the game clock and the Bucs were not only up, but up by 17 and well on their way to victory. At the final horn it was an 83-69 win for the Bucs over the Mustangs to improve to 6-3 overall on the year.

Bucs Break Century Mark Against Spartans

After needing a furious late game comeback on Friday to earn a win, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were not in the mood for a repeat Saturday afternoon in Suncoast Credit Union Arena, starting hot and finishing hot in a 105-47 blowout of the visiting Elgin Spartans to close out the 2023 FSW Classic in Fort Myers.

Bucs Drop Buzzer Beating Heartbreaker to #4 Salt Lake

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers went toe to toe with the #4 Salt Lake Bruins Friday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, but with time winding down a last second prayer for the Bruins was answered and Salt Lake walked off the Bucs 73-70 to close out the 2023 FSW Classic.

Bucs Roll in Season Opener

The #8 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers kicked off their 2023-2024 season with a bang Wednesday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, rolling past the visiting Mont Sports Academy by a score of 89-56 with five different players scoring in double figures.
