FORT MYERS, Fla.- After making the most of his lone season in Fort Myers, Florida SouthWestern sophomore K'jei Parker will be taking his talents North next season after signing with the University of Massachusetts where he will join the Minutemen for the 2025-2026 campaign.
Parker was a 1st Team All-Citrus and 1st Team All-FCSAA selection for the Bucs this season, leading the team averaging 16.8 points per game while shooting 43% from the three point line on the year. The model of consistency, Parker scored in double figures in 28 of 29 games this season while topping the 20 point mark 10 different times. He made three or more three pointers in each of the Bucs final eight games of the season including tying the program record with eight treys in a win over Santa Fe late in the year.
Parker will look to get a history rich UMass program back on track after the Minutemen struggled to just a 12-20 mark a season ago. UMass has been to the NCAA Tournament nine times including a trip to the Final Four during the 1996 campaign.
Parker is one of three players off the Bucs 2024-2025 squad who have signed at the Division I level thus far, joining Chol Machot (College of Charleston) and Jafeth Martinez (USC-Upstate).
