RANGER, Texas- After a hard fought loss on the road at Ranger on Thursday, the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers bounced back Friday with a 79-57 win over Weatherford to improve to 2-1 on the early season.
Points were at a premium early on as both the Bucs and Coyotes showed some signs of fatigue in the second games of back to backs. Mason Blazer carried the Bucs in the first half with a pair of old fashioned three point plays and a more traditional one to give FSW a 32-23 lead at the break.
The Bucs got things going in the second half while still frustrating the Coyotes, pushing their lead to double digits early in the second before opening things up and blowing Weatherford out late 79-57.
Four players scored in double figures for the Bucs, led by Abdoulaye Konate who put up 14 and Trey Fogle who scored 11 off the bench for the Bucs, all coming in the second half. No other stats were available at time of press.
FSW splits their two games in Texas to move to 2-1 on the year while Weatherford falls to 1-6.
The Bucs return home on Thursday when they host Monroe from New York in a 7 PM tip from Suncoast Arena in Fort Myers.
