Giles Captures Final FCSAA Player of the Week Award
Capping off a red hot February in which he averaged nearly 20 points per game to lead the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers to a Citrus Conference Championship, sophomore guard Kenyon Giles has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Capping off a red hot February in which he averaged nearly 20 points per game to lead the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers to a Citrus Conference Championship, sophomore guard Kenyon Giles has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season.
Giles torched the nets for 26 points in an FSW win over Santa Fe on Wednesday, hitting on 7 of 12 from three point land to help FSW clinch their first Conference Championship since the 2020 season.
He finished the regular season averaging 15 points per game while shooting 41% from the field and 35% from the three point line. He had seven games of 20+ points including the 26 point effort to earn him Player of the Week honors to close the year.
With their Citrus Conference Title in tow, the Bucs now await their matchup for the upcoming FCSAA Championships which begin March 11th in Niceville.
