Red Hot Bucs Remain #2 in National Rankings

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Winners of nine in a row, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained at #2 in the NJCAA National Poll released Monday by the National Office.
The Bucs went 4-0 last week, including a pair of run rule victories in Suncoast Conference action. FSW sits at 16-3 overall and a perfect 7-0 in conference action after the doubleheader sweeps.
The same five teams comprised this week's Top 5 with Salt Lake at #1 and FSW at #2, Howard and Butler sliding up a spot to #3 and #4, and Central Florida dropping from #3 to #5 with a pair of losses.
FSW is one of three Sunshine State teams in the Top 10 and one of five in the poll overall with themselves and Central Florida in the Top 5, Indian River at #10, Pensacola at #14, and Seminole State at #19.
The Bucs are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Tampa to take on Hillsborough to wrap up the first half of conference play. They will take on the World's #3 ranked team Saturday in exhibition action when they battle the Red and White of Team Canada at 11 AM at City of Palms Park. Admission is free.
