40 Win Bucs Move Up To #2 In National Poll
After posting a perfect 6-0 record while securing their 40th win of the season last week, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers moved up one spot to #2 in the latest NJCAA National Rankings as announced by the National Office Monday.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- After posting a perfect 6-0 record while securing their 40th win of the season last week, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers moved up one spot to #2 in the latest NJCAA National Rankings as announced by the National Office Monday.
The red hot Bucs have won 18 in a row to move to 41-4 on the season. They dominated the competition last week going 6-0 while outscoring their opponents a combined 56-3. The Bucs picked up Suncoast Conference sweeps of Polk State, St. Petersburg, and Hillsborough to remain unbeaten at 16-0 in conference action.
Wallace State lost their grip on the top spot with a loss this week, falling to #3 while Yavapai and FSW moved up a spot to #1 and #2 in the week eight poll. Seminole State and Odessa, both 2021 National Tournament opponents for the Bucs remained at #4 and #5. The Bucs were one of four FCSAA teams in the Top 20, joined by #10 Pensacola State, #13 Chipola, and #15 Northwest Florida State.
The Bucs are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Bradenton to take on State College of Florida in a conference doubleheader beginning at 5 PM.
