Freshman (2022): Vigna was as advertised for the Bucs as a freshman in 2022, earning All-American accolades from both the NJCAA and NFCA while also earning First Team All-Conference and First Team All-State honors while leading FSW to their second straight National Championship. She hit .454 with 50 RBIs and 73 runs scored in 61 games for the Bucs, splattering her name all over the FSW single season record books. Her 24 doubles shattered the FSW previous best mark of 18 while her 73 runs scored were second most in program history and her 88 hits ranked fourth. In Suncoast Conference play she hit .478 and reached base at an even .500 clip while ripping 10 doubles and scoring 27 runs in 20 contests. She had 31 multi-hit games on the year including two stretches of five consecutive multi-hit contests.  Her best game of the season came against Region VIII rival Chipola when she was a perfect 4-4 with six RBIs in a 13-0 romp over the Indians for FSW.  Her most memorable moment of her action packed freshman season came in the NJCAA National Tournament when she picked the perfect time to launch her only home run of the season, leading off the bottom of the 10th inning with a solo shot to center to walk off Yavapai 10-9 and keep the Bucs alive in the tournament which they went on to win two days later for their second straight National Title.  

Prior to FSW- Vigna starred for the Italian National Team in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, earning All-Olympic Team honors.  Vigna was Italy's top offensive player in the tournament, recording hits in each of the team's final three games against Japan, Mexico, and Canada while reaching base at a clip of .357 during her stay in Tokyo.  Also outstanding in the outfield for Team Italy, Vigna was perfect in nine defensive chances during the games including making the play of the tournament for the Italians when she went over the fence to rob a home run in left field against Japan.

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers stretched their winning streak to 30 games Friday afternoon in Bradenton with wins over Eastern Florida and State College of Florida, but it didn't come without a little bit of drama as in their opening game of the day, Eastern Florida stormed back late in the game to nearly erase a 10-2 FSW lead while in their second game, it took a five run 7th from the Bucs to come from behind to defeat the Manatees 8-4.

Bucs Make Statement In Sweep of #14 Indian River

For years, the Indian River State Pioneers have dominated the Southern Conference. Making the move to the league this season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers made a statement today at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers; there's a new sheriff in town.  FSW swept a doubleheader from the Pioneers, winning the opening game 3-2 on a walk off home run from Feline Poot before the Bucs rolled to a 9-0 run rule win in game two to take a commanding three game lead atop the league standings with six games left to go.

Shenita Tucker recorded five hits and five RBIs as the #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers raced past the Miami Dade Sharks and the Hillsborough Hawks in a split doubleheader Friday afternoon in Tampa.  The Bucs took care of Miami Dade 12-0 in five in the first game before taking care of Hillsborough 9-4 in the nightcap for their 22nd straight victory.
