CHARLOTTE, N.C.- After a patient four week wait, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers took back over the #1 spot in the NJCAA National Rankings on Monday as announced by the NJCAA National Office.
The Bucs were a perfect 4-0 last week, outscoring their four opponents by a score of 29-5. They ran their win streak to 22 games with the four victories and are now 33-3 overall on the year. FSW has nine wins over Top 20 ranked opponents and five wins over Top 10 ranked foes.
There was a shuffle at the top of the poll with FSW taking over at #1, Grayson moving up a spot to #2, and Northwest Florida State dropping to #3 in front of Walters State and Wallace State who remained #4 and #5. The Bucs and Raiders were joined in the Top 10 by fellow FCSAA squads Central Florida at #8 and Seminole State at #10 while Indian River at #15 gave Florida five of the Top 20 teams in the Nation.
The Bucs are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Melbourne to take on Eastern Florida State in a Southern Conference doubleheader beginning at 2 PM.
