Bucs Unanimous #1 For Second Straight Week in National Rankings
Running their win streak to 26 games last week with four more victories, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained the unanimous #1 team in the NJCAA National Rankings released on Monday.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Running their win streak to 26 games last week with four more victories, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained the unanimous #1 team in the NJCAA National Rankings released on Monday.
The Bucs improved to 37-3 on the year last week, going 4-0 with a Southern Conference sweep of Eastern Florida as well as solo wins against #15 Indian River and State College of Florida. On the week FSW outscored their four opponents a combined 29-4.
The week six poll had some movement in it outside the top three as FSW, Grayson, and Northwest Florida remained on top with Odessa sliding up to #4 and Walters State dropping back to #5 after their first loss of the season. Central Florida moved up two spots to #6 while Seminole State and Indian River represented the fourth and fifth FCSAA squads in the poll at #11 and #14.
The Bucs are back in action on Wednesday at home in a Top 15 matchup with Indian River beginning at 2 PM at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers.
