Freshman (2023): Golka was a 2nd Team All-Conference pick for the Bucs last season after playing in 42 games and hitting .337 with six doubles, a pair of triples, and a home run while driving in 18.  She cracked her lone home run of the season and registered her first career RBIs in a win over Seminole State on the opening weekend of the 2023 season.  She went on to have six multi-hit games over the course of the year including a perfect 3-3 effort in an 11-7 win over Eastern Florida in Southern Conference play.  

High School: Golka joined the Bucs after a decorated career at Wesley Chapel High School where she was a two-time All-Conference selection.  As a senior she was a 2nd Team All-League pick, hitting .422 with eight doubles and 15 RBIs while fielding .951 to lead her team to a District Championship.  She was also a standout Volleyball and Soccer player, where she was a four time All-Conference performer on the pitch. 

Personal: Born March 10, 2004, she is the daughter of Colleen and Steve Golka.  She has a brother, Alex (20) and a sister, Sarah (30).

Bucs Drop World Series Opener, Bounce Back With Elimination Game Shutout

Emily Allegood put together one of the most impressive individual performances in FSW history on Sunday as she hit a three run inside the park home run in an 11-3 Buccaneer win in game one of their doubleheader with the Alverno Inferno before throwing a no-hitter in the circle and collecting three hits including two triples at the plate in a 14-0 game two win to push the Bucs to 13-1 on the year.

#1 FSW Flexes Muscles On Day One Of Paradise Cove Tournament

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers had their biggest test of the early season Thursday afternoon at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers as they took on the 7-1 College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles to open play at the 2024 Paradise Cove Tournament. They passed that test with flying colors as they hammered the Golden Eagles 10-2 in a five inning run rule in the first game of the doubleheader before shutting out the powerful CSI lineup in game two for a 9-0 run rule win to sweep the twinbill and improve to 10-0 on the year.

Bucs Move to 8-0 With Tournament Sweep

Teams from the state of Alabama will be happy to know that the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers won't be back to the Cotton State again until May as the Bucs dominated two more teams from Alabama on Saturday in Dothan, beating Central Alabama 7-2 and Southern Union 11-3 to wrap up a 4-0 weekend against teams from the state while remaining unbeaten this season at 8-0.

You couldn't find a matchup that had much more of a contrast in programs as was found at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers on Thursday as the three time defending NJCAA National Champion Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers squared off against the New College of Florida Mighty Banyans who were playing their first two games in program history. Unfortunately for the Banyans, the experience of the Bucs was just too much as FSW put together a pair of 8-0 run rules while the Bucs pitching staff allowed just three hits on the afternoon.
