Citrus Conference Champs Remain #2 in National Poll
Riding an eight game winning streak, the 47-5 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained the #2 team in the country in Monday’s NJCAA Week 10 National Rankings.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Riding an eight game winning streak, the 47-5 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained the #2 team in the country in Monday's NJCAA Week 10 National Rankings.
The Bucs went 4-0 last week to clinch their ninth straight Conference Championship. FSW began the week with a dominating effort against Polk State, outscoring the Eagles 16-1 in a doubleheader to inch closer to the title. Saturday they finished things of, sweeping #17 Eastern Florida 8-2 and 5-3 to push their winning streak to eight games and clinch the 2025 Citrus Conference Championship.
The lone change in the top six in Week 10 was Northwest Florida and Indian River swapping places at #3 and #4. Other than that, McLennan and FSW continued to lead the pack with Grayson and Seminole State checking in at #5 and #6. Other Citrus Conference squads in the Top 25 included Miami Dade at #8, Daytona State at #15, and Eastern Florida and Santa Fe back to back at #17 and #18.
The Bucs will close out the regular season on Tuesday when they go on the road to take on St. Petersburg in Clearwater with first pitch of the doubleheader scheduled for 1 PM.
