CHARLOTTE, N.C.- It was a quiet week on the court with just one game for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, but the Bucs made another move northwards in the NJCAA National Poll, jumping up two spots to #14 in the week three rankings.
FSW improved to 4-1 on the season after a blowout win over Johnson University on Tuesday in Kissimmee. The Bucs have now won four straight with their lone loss coming in dramatic fashion by one to top ranked Northwest Florida in their season opener.
The top four teams in the poll remained the same with Northwest Florida leading the way and Chipola, Jones, and Three Rivers following in behind. Trinity Valley was a newcomer to the top five after a pair of losses sent South Georgia Tech plummeting down the rankings. The Bucs were one of three FCSAA teams making a move up in the poll as Pensacola moved up from #24 to #20 and Eastern Florida also jumped four spots to #17 after a successful week.
The Bucs play a pair of games before Thanksgiving this week, taking on DME in Daytona on Monday followed by a Tuesday tilt at Florida State College at Jacksonville.
