Defense Propels Bucs to Opening Round Win at National Tournament

The #12 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers held the Itawamba Lady Indians to just 36 points in a 61-36 win at the NJCAA National Tournament in Casper, Wyoming Wednesday afternoon.  It is the Bucs first win at the National Tournament since the 2019 season and pushes FSW on to the Sweet 16 where they will take on #3 New Mexico Friday.

Cold Shooting Dooms Bucs in FCSAA Semis

The #12 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers picked a bad time for their second worst shooting game of the season Friday afternoon in Niceville, hitting on just 32% from the field in a 66-54 loss to #4 Chipola to bring their run at the FCSAA Championships to an end in the round of four.  FSW will now have to play the waiting game to see if they have earned an at large bid for the NJCAA National Tournament which will be announced on Sunday.

Bucs Muscle Way to Win Over Daytona

The outside shots weren't falling Saturday afternoon for the #17 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, but that didn't matter as they used their size on the inside to score 46 points in the paint and a grinding defensive effort to run past the visiting Daytona State Falcons 76-51 to improve to 11-1 in Citrus Conference play this season.

FSW Stuns #19 Eastern Florida, Snaps Titans Long Streak

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers dialed up a big early season Citrus Conference win Wednesday night at home in Suncoast Credit Union Arena, hammering #19 Eastern Florida 75-60 to snap a 47-game conference winning streak for the Titans dating back to 2021.

Bucs Topple Titans in Citrus Opener

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, leading wire to wire in a 76-42 win over St. Petersburg in the two teams' 2024 Citrus Conference opener Monday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.

Quick Start Powers Bucs Over Panthers

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers got off to a quick start and never looked back Tuesday night on the road at D2 #8 Palm Beach, scoring the first 10 points of the ballgame and taking a 22-6 lead after one quarter in route to a 71-55 win over the Panthers to move to 4-3 on the year.

Solid Defensive Effort Not Enough as Bucs Edged By #2 Northwest Florida

For the second straight game, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers went toe to toe with the Nation's #2 ranked team, but once again, the Bucs came up just short in their upset bid as Northwest Florida State edged FSW 58-53 in a defensive battle Friday afternoon in the Panama City Classic hosted by Gulf Coast State.
