Citrus Champs Remain #13 in National Poll
After running their winning streak to six games last week, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers stayed solid at #13 in the NJCAA National Rankings on Monday.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- After running their winning streak to six games last week, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers stayed solid at #13 in the NJCAA National Rankings on Monday.
The Bucs went on the road twice last week, earning a 65-50 win over St. Petersburg and a 65-56 win over Santa Fe to sweep the season series with the two teams. FSW surpassed the 20 win mark on the year with the wins, improving to 21-4 overall while clinching their first Conference Championship since moving to the Citrus Conference.
Chipola took over the top spot in the poll while Three Rivers moved up two spots to #2 behind them. Northwest Florida and New Mexico fell to #3 and #4 after losses while Wabash Valley stayed at #5.
FSW has two more dates on the calendar as they host Miami Dade Wednesday night at 5 in Suncoast Credit Union Arena on Sophomore Night before going on the road to Daytona Beach to take on the Daytona State Falcons in their regular season finale next Monday.
