FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern guard Asiana Britt is going from one slice of paradise to another next season as the 5'7 sophomore will pack her bags from Fort Myers for the opposite side of the Gulf as she heads to Texas A&M Corpus Christi where she will play for the Islanders in 2025-2026.
Britt was a 1st Team All-Conference and All-FCSAA selection in her only season with the Bucs this season. She filled up the stat sheet with 11.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game as a sophomore after transferring to FSW from Jacksonville University where she played her freshman season. She scored in double figures 17 times on the year including both games in the Bucs run to the Sweet 16 at the NJCAA National Tournament. She had a number of big games, going for 20 or more points six different times including 26 points performances in wins over Miami Dade and Hillsborough.
She joins an Islanders squad coming off of a 15-17 campaign that included an 8th place finish in the Southland Conference standings at 7-13. Corpus Christi is just one year removed from a trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2024 where they matched up against USC in the first round in Los Angelas.
Britt is one of five Bucs to sign at the NCAA Division I level this season and one of six overall to sign at a four year school joining Sarah Owona, (UT-Chattanooga), Georgi Buzzetti (North Florida), Samantha Serrano (Illinois-Chicago), Ivy Brown (University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley), Roksana Sajdak (LSU-Alexandria).
