FSW Continues Push, Moves Up to #6 in NJCAA Poll
The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers continued their climb up the NJCAA National Rankings ladder on Monday as the Bucs moved up two spots to claim the #6 rung in the week six poll.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers continued their climb up the NJCAA National Rankings ladder on Monday as the Bucs moved up two spots to claim the #6 rung in the week six poll.
The Bucs are 12-3 on the year following a win in their only match of the week last week against St. Petersburg. On the year the Bucs have three wins over ranked squads including #7 Polk State, #14 Hill, and #18 Daytona State. Their three losses have come to #1 Miami Dade, #2 Oddessa, and the 18th ranked Falcons in their season opener.
A pair of Top 10 squads fell this week to force some shuffling atop the rankings. Miami Dade remained #1 for the sixth straight week with Odessa moving up three spots to move to #2, Snow stayed at #3 followed by Snow, Utah State Eastern, and Iowa Western to round out the Top 5 in front of the Bucs. 25% of this week's rankings came from the state of Florida with #1 Miami Dade and #6 FSW leading a pack that includes #7 Polk State, #16 Santa Fe, and #18 Daytona State.
The Bucs return to the court on Tuesday in a huge Suncoast Conference matchup with #7 Polk State in Winter Haven before playing their final two home matches of the 2021 season Thursday and Saturday at Suncoast Credit Union Arena against State College of Florida and Palm Beach.
