A 3-0 week for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers kept the Purple and Aqua solid at #6 in the week seven NJCAA National Rankings Monday as the Bucs, along with the rest of the Top 10 all remain unchanged as the 2021 Spring season begins to wind down.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- A 3-0 week for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers kept the Purple and Aqua solid at #6 in the week seven NJCAA National Rankings Monday as the Bucs, along with the rest of the Top 10 all remain unchanged as the 2021 Spring season begins to wind down.
The Bucs went unscathed through a busy week last week, earning a big road win at #7 Polk State Tuesday, before clinching their first Suncoast Conference Championship with a win over State College of Florida on Thursday and wrapping up the week with a 3-0 victory on Sophomore Day against Palm Beach State to move to 15-3 on the year. The Bucs 2021 resume includes three wins over NJCAA Top 10 ranked teams and five over the Top 20.
With most of the top NJCAA squads winning their matches this week, there was almost no movement in Monday's poll. The Top 10 all remained the same with Miami Dade continuing to lead the way with Odessa at #2, Snow at #3, Utah State Eastern at #5 and Iowa Western in front of the Bucs at #5. FSW was once again one of five FCSAA teams ranked in the Top 20, joined by #1 Miami Dade, #7 Polk State, #15 Santa Fe, and #17 Daytona State.
The Bucs wrap up their Suncoast Conference schedule on the road on Tuesday when they travel to Hillsborough to take on the Hawks in a 6 PM first serve. FSW then concludes the regular season portion of the schedule on Friday when they travel to Fort Pierce to take on Indian River who received votes in the week seven poll.
