Bucs Remain #2 in National Rankings

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Idle last week because of Hurricane Helene, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained the #2 team in the NJCAA National Rankings released on Monday.
The Bucs are 12-1 on the year despite having played the second toughest schedule in the country to this point. Nine of the Bucs 12 wins this season have come against NJCAA Top 20 ranked opponents including three who are ranked in the Top 5.
The Top five remained the same in the week five poll with Miami Dade and Florida SouthWestern leading New Mexico Military, Northeastern, and Barton. Three other FCSAA teams joined the Bucs and Sharks in the Top 20 with Eastern Florida checking in at #15, Daytona State #17, and Hillsborough right behind them at #18.
FSW is back in action tonight as they take on Polk State in Winter Haven in a 6 PM first serve to wrap up the first half of Citrus Conference play.
