Freshman (2022-2023): Lindsay had an outstanding freshman season for the Bucs in 2022-2023, seeing action in 27 games and drawing 10 starts, averaging 10.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while shooting 50% from the field to earn 2nd Team All-Southern Conference accolades. He scored in double figures 13 times on the year including a career best 27 point performance in the Bucs regular season finale against Hillsborough.  He came into his own at the end of the season, putting together a streak of seven straight games of 10 or more points including three straight 20+ point efforts in FSW wins to close out the regular season.

Bucs Season Ends In Last Second Heartbreaker

In what seemed to be the story of their season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers suffered another last second defeat Wednesday night in the opening round of the FCSAA State Tournament in Niceville, watching as #9 Northwest Florida State was fouled and made a free throw with 2.7 seconds remaining to come away with a 66-65 win to end the Buccaneers 2024 season.

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers led the #8 Daytona State Falcons for 37:56 of their Citrus Conference tilt Monday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.  The Falcons didn't lead for a single second of game action.  However, in one of the oddest quirks you will see on a stat sheet, the Falcons, who erased a 17 point FSW lead over the final 10 minutes of the contest, got a game winning basket with less than 0.1 on the clock to stun the Bucs and claim their share of the inaugural Citrus Conference Championship.

Pioneers Upset Bucs In Final Road Game of 2024

For the second straight game, the #24  Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers struggled in the second half Saturday afternoon on the road at Indian River, unfortunately for the Bucs, they didn't have the same 24 point lead at the break they did the last time out and it cost them as Indian River pulled off a 79-76 upset to make the Bucs road to a Citrus Conference Championship much more difficult with one game left to go in the regular season.

Bucs Ride Hot Start to Road Win in Miami

As the old saying goes 'it's not how you start, it's how you finish'; well that didn't necessarily ring true for the #24 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers on Wednesday night in Miami as the Bucs raced out to a 24 point first half lead, before hanging on late for a 74-64 win over the Miami Dade Sharks in Citrus Conference action.

Bucs Fall 109-106 In Instant Classic With #4 Daytona

In a matchup that lived up to it's billing between two of the hottest teams in the country, the #4 Daytona State Falcons outlasted the #20 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers 109-106 in overtime Saturday afternoon in Daytona. FSW suffered the defeat despite shooting 57% from the field and 65% from the three point line while spoiling a 38 point, 13 rebound performance from sophomore Dezdrick Lindsay.

For fans of offense, Monday night's game between the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers and the Palm Beach State Panthers wasn't for you. The consolation prize for FSW fans was the Bucs coming away with a 67-50 win in a game that was marred with 32 turnovers and a combined 23% shooting from the three point line.

Bucs Drop Buzzer Beating Heartbreaker to #4 Salt Lake

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers went toe to toe with the #4 Salt Lake Bruins Friday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, but with time winding down a last second prayer for the Bruins was answered and Salt Lake walked off the Bucs 73-70 to close out the 2023 FSW Classic.

Hopkins Career High 20 Leads Bucs Past Bobcats

Playing in what was as much of a home game as he will get during his Florida SouthWestern career, Buccaneer sophomore AJ Hopkins put on a show Saturday afternoon at the Jets Classic in Americus, Georgia, nailing six three pointers and scoring a career high 20 as #8 Florida SouthWestern raced past East Georgia State 87-56 to improve to 2-1 on the early season.

Jets Sink Bucs In Georgia

The #8 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were stunned 61-56 on the road Friday night by South Georgia Tech in the 2023 Jet Classic in Americus, Georgia. FSW managed to shoot just 38% from the field and shot a dreadful 5-13 from the free throw line in the defeat.
