Freshman (2024): Brennan had a huge freshman year for the Bucs in 2024, playing in all 67 games and hitting .354 while driving in a team high 59 runs to earn 2nd Team All-Citrus Conference honors. She slugged .526 on the year with 11 doubles, two triples, and five home runs. She had 11 multi-hit games including four three hit games.  She had 15 games with multiple RBIs including three straight at the FCSAA State Tournament to earn All-Tournament Team honors. She hit her first career home run in a 7-4 win over St. Petersburg to close out February and popped long balls in back to back games of a dobuleheader sweep against Polk State in late March. 

High School: Brennan came to FSW from the Show Me State of Missouri where she earned four letters at Lee's Summit West High School. She was a four time All-District selection, earning 2nd Team All-Conference and 2nd Team All-State honors as a senior in 2022.  A two way threat for the Titans, she hit .391 with 3 home runs and 36 RBIs while notching a 2.86 ERA in the circle.  In 2021 as a junior she led her team to a State Championship, earning 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Region honors. 

Personal: Born October 18, 2004, she is the daughter of Kevin and Jennifer Brennan.

Bucs Fall in National Championship Game

It was dejavu for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers  at the NJCAA World Series, as after dropping a 3-1 decision to the Northwest Florida State Raiders in the semifinals on Friday, the Bucs suffered nearly the same fate in a 4-1 defeat in the National Championship Game on Saturday to finish at the 2025 NJCAA National Runners-Up.

Cardiac Kids Hang On To Advance to Elite Eight

Despite being separated by nearly 1,500 miles, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers and Butler Grizzlies have created quite a postseason history between them and chapter four was added to the tetralogy on Wednesday at the NJCAA World Series in Yuma, Arizona. It was a back and forth affair from the start with #1 FSW hanging on late, stranding the tying run at third base to end the game in a 7-6 victory over the #16 Grizzlies to advance to the winner's bracket semifinals at the tournament.

Bucs Use Big Comeback For Opening Round Win

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers found themselves in an unfamiliar position Tuesday afternoon in their opening game of the 2025 NJCAA World Series, in fact a position that they haven't been in at any point in time during the 2025 season.  The Bucs fell behind #24 Crowder 5-0 right away and eventually faced a 7-0 deficit in the 4th inning, their biggest hole of the season, before roaring back with 11 runs in the final three innings to win 11-8 and avoid the upset.

Bucs Blitz Polk in Citrus Sweep

Don't look now, but the #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers are getting hot at the right time.  The Bucs pushed their winning streak to six on Thursday, hammering the visiting Polk State Eagles 8-0 and 8-1 in a doubleheader sweep at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers to improve to 45-5 on the year and move to within one win of claiming their ninth straight Conference Championship.

Bucs Bats Carry Them Past Pats

For just the second time this season, the #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers scored 10 or more runs in both ends of a doubleheader Thursday afternoon at Buccaneers Park as they took on the Central Florida Patriots.  The Bucs needed all the runs they got, coming from behind in both games for 10-8 and 10-4 wins to retake the lead in the Citrus Conference standings at 29-5.

#2 FSW Dominates In Sweep of #8 Miami Dade

After splitting their previous four doubleheaders, the #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers came out with a purpose on Tuesday afternoon in Miami, sweeping a key Citrus Conference doubleheader with the #8 Miami Dade Sharks by scores of 7-1 and 10-1 to push over the 40 win mark on the year.

Brennan & Mambelli Homer Twice For Bucs in Split With Saints

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers split their fourth straight Citrus Conference doubleheader on Saturday, using a pair of homers from Skylar Brennan and a one hit shutout from Leah Meyer in the circle for a 5-0 win over #21 Santa Fe in game one, but they couldn't hold a late 4-0 lead in game two as the Saints scored five unanswered to walk the Bucs off 5-4 to salvage the split.

Bucs Split With Pioneers In Matchup of National Champs

The two teams responsible for the last four NJCAA National Championships collided at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers on Tuesday as the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers hosted the #3 Indian River State Pioneers. Indian River took game one 3-2 in a tight battle before FSW cruised in game two 7-3 to split the twinbill and leave the Bucs one game up in the race for their ninth straight Conference Championship.

Bucs Settle For Split With #8 Seminole

A late stumble in game one of their Citrus Conference doubleheader against the #8 Seminole State Raiders cost the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers a 7-5 loss before bouncing back for a 6-1 win in game two to split the Top 10 matchup with the Raiders.

Veteran Bats Lead #1 FSW Over #19 Eastern Florida

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers leaned on their sophomores on Saturday in a Citrus Conference doubleheader against the #19 Eastern Florida Titans as Skylar Brennan, Virginia Mambelli, Emily Allegood, and Kmari Williams all recorded multiple hits in both ends of the twinbill to lead the Bucs past the Titans 9-1 and 7-5 to improve to 33-1 on the year.

Big Innings Lead Bucs Past Eagles In Sweep

The top ranked Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers used six crooked numbers to sweep Polk State Saturday afternoon in Winter Haven, run ruling the Eagles 10-2 in game one before winning a wild game two 12-7 to improve to 29-1 on the year.

Bucs Split Top 10 Doubleheader

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers won game one of their Tuesday doubleheader with the #6 Miami Dade Sharks 3-0 to move to 25-0 on the year, but came up just short in game two, 2-1 to suffer their first defeat of the 2025 campaign.

FSW Sweeps Matchup Of Last Four National Champs

The only two teams to win an NJCAA Division I National Championship the past four seasons hooked up Tuesday afternoon in Fort Pierce as the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Champion Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers squared off against the 2024 Champion Indian River State Pioneers. Game one was dominated by pitching with FSW's Leah Meyer outdueling reigning National Pitcher of the Year J'dah Girigorie in a 2-1 Bucs win.  Game two was a different story as the Bucs exploded for 13 runs in a dominating 13-5 victory to finish off the sweep and remain unbeaten at a perfect 22-0 on the year.

Yzaguirre/Meyer Spin Shutouts Against #10 Seminole

The #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers managed just four runs in their doubleheader against the #10 Seminole State Raiders Thursday afternoon at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers, but that is all they would need as pitchers Zoe Yzaguirre and Leah Meyer combined to allow the Raiders just five hits in 16 scoreless innings as FSW won 1-0 and 3-0 to sweep the twinbill and improve to 18-0 on the year.

Bucs Get Three Wins For Valentine's Day Present Friday

The #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers spent their 2025 Valentine's Day at the Softball diamond on Friday. The Bucs won the bookends of their tripleheader in blowout fashion, defeating Spoon River 9-0 and Chipola 7-1, while orchestrating a huge comeback for a 7-6 walk off win over #8 Southern Idaho in the middle game to remain unbeaten at 14-0 on the year.

Bucs Arms Dialed In On Day One of Paradise Cove Classic

The #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained unbeaten on Thursday, dominating their first two games of the Paradise Cove Classic presented by Retallick Financial Group by a combined score of 16-1 while four Bucs pitchers allowed just four hits in route to the victories.

Pitching Dominates As Bucs Finish Undefeated in Dothan

After using their bats to pick up a pair of wins on day one of the Visit Dothan Invitational on Friday, the #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers used their arms to collect two more on Saturday as Bucs pitching allowed just one run in two games, defeating Georgia Military 3-1 before blanking Central Alabama 8-0 in game two to finish the weekend a perfect 4-0.

Bucs Blast Way to Opening Day Sweep

The #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers couldn't have scripted their Opening Day much better on Sunday as the Bucs outscored their three opponents by a combined score of 34-6 while run ruling Tallahassee State, #5 Walters State, and Rend Lake in dominating fashion to begin their 2025 campaign a perfect 3-0.
