Freshman (2024): Edmiaston logged over 100 at bats in 56 games as a freshman last season, hitting .358 with seven doubles and 25 RBIs. She notched her first career hit and RBI in her first career start against Georgia Military to kick off the season. She had five multi-hit games on the year including a 3 for 3 effort in an 8-0 win over Miami Dade, one game after knocking in a career high three in a win over #4 Indian River. Edmiaston played in all five games at the NJCAA World Series last season for the Bucs, picking up four hits and four RBIs in the process. 

High School: Edmiaston prepped at Freeburg Community High School in Illinois where she was a four time letterwinner.  She was a 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-State, and Metro East Player of the Year recipient as a senior when she hit an eye popping .636 with 13 home runs and 73 RBIs for the Midgets.  

Personal: Born September 17, 2004, she is the daughter of Kim and Jeff Edmiaston. She has a younger sister, Zoey (17). Her cousin TJ played college hockey at Ferris State while her cousin Ashley played soccer at the University of Iowa.

It was dejavu for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers  at the NJCAA World Series, as after dropping a 3-1 decision to the Northwest Florida State Raiders in the semifinals on Friday, the Bucs suffered nearly the same fate in a 4-1 defeat in the National Championship Game on Saturday to finish at the 2025 NJCAA National Runners-Up.

Cardiac Kids Hang On To Advance to Elite Eight

Despite being separated by nearly 1,500 miles, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers and Butler Grizzlies have created quite a postseason history between them and chapter four was added to the tetralogy on Wednesday at the NJCAA World Series in Yuma, Arizona. It was a back and forth affair from the start with #1 FSW hanging on late, stranding the tying run at third base to end the game in a 7-6 victory over the #16 Grizzlies to advance to the winner's bracket semifinals at the tournament.

Bucs Put Together Record Breaking Performance In FCSAA Opening Round Win

In the other four games of the FCSAA Championships on Tuesday and Wednesday, there were a total of eight runs scored.  The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers made sure fans of offense weren't disappointed though, busting out the bats for a 21-0 win over Gulf Coast State in their opening round matchup, setting a new program postseason record and tying the program's all-time record by scoring 21 runs in the victory.

Veteran Bats Lead #1 FSW Over #19 Eastern Florida

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers leaned on their sophomores on Saturday in a Citrus Conference doubleheader against the #19 Eastern Florida Titans as Skylar Brennan, Virginia Mambelli, Emily Allegood, and Kmari Williams all recorded multiple hits in both ends of the twinbill to lead the Bucs past the Titans 9-1 and 7-5 to improve to 33-1 on the year.

Bucs Bounce Back Against Patriots

Coming off of their first loss of the 2025 season, the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers got back on track on Saturday, hammering the #22 Central Florida Patriots 7-1 and 10-2 in a doubleheader to improve to 27-1 on the year.

Bucs Sweep Low Scoring Doubleheader With Saints

It took a late game comeback in game one and a shutout in the circle in game two, but the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers earned two more hard fought Citrus Conference wins on Saturday at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers, defeating Santa Fe 3-2 in game one of the doubleheader and 3-0 in game two to improve to a perfect 24-0 on the year.

FSW Sweeps Matchup Of Last Four National Champs

The only two teams to win an NJCAA Division I National Championship the past four seasons hooked up Tuesday afternoon in Fort Pierce as the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Champion Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers squared off against the 2024 Champion Indian River State Pioneers. Game one was dominated by pitching with FSW's Leah Meyer outdueling reigning National Pitcher of the Year J'dah Girigorie in a 2-1 Bucs win.  Game two was a different story as the Bucs exploded for 13 runs in a dominating 13-5 victory to finish off the sweep and remain unbeaten at a perfect 22-0 on the year.

Yzaguirre/Meyer Spin Shutouts Against #10 Seminole

The #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers managed just four runs in their doubleheader against the #10 Seminole State Raiders Thursday afternoon at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers, but that is all they would need as pitchers Zoe Yzaguirre and Leah Meyer combined to allow the Raiders just five hits in 16 scoreless innings as FSW won 1-0 and 3-0 to sweep the twinbill and improve to 18-0 on the year.

The freshly ranked #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers put on a show in their Citrus Conference openers on Tuesday, hammering the Hillsborough Hawks 9-0 and 16-2 in a pair of run rules to remain perfect on the year at 16-0.

Bucs Get Three Wins For Valentine's Day Present Friday

The #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers spent their 2025 Valentine's Day at the Softball diamond on Friday. The Bucs won the bookends of their tripleheader in blowout fashion, defeating Spoon River 9-0 and Chipola 7-1, while orchestrating a huge comeback for a 7-6 walk off win over #8 Southern Idaho in the middle game to remain unbeaten at 14-0 on the year.

Pitching Dominates As Bucs Finish Undefeated in Dothan

After using their bats to pick up a pair of wins on day one of the Visit Dothan Invitational on Friday, the #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers used their arms to collect two more on Saturday as Bucs pitching allowed just one run in two games, defeating Georgia Military 3-1 before blanking Central Alabama 8-0 in game two to finish the weekend a perfect 4-0.

Bucs Blast Way to Opening Day Sweep

The #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers couldn't have scripted their Opening Day much better on Sunday as the Bucs outscored their three opponents by a combined score of 34-6 while run ruling Tallahassee State, #5 Walters State, and Rend Lake in dominating fashion to begin their 2025 campaign a perfect 3-0.
