Freshman (2022): Bonafacio transfers to FSW from Binghamton University where she was an All-Conference performer as a freshman last season.  She had a huge freshman campaign for the Bearcats, finishing in the top five in the conference in both kills with 278 and points with 349. She recorded double digit kills in 16 different matches last season including a career high 20 in a win over Delaware State.  A two way producer, she registered a team best 12 double-doubles, racking up a career high 21 digs against Colgate in conference action. For her efforts, she was named the America East Rookie of the Week eight times and was the 2022 AVCA East Coast Freshman of the Year. 

High School: Bonafacio prepped at ITE. Mossotti, ITELL Gadda Rosselli, and G.Baruffi Mondovì where she also participated in Track and Field.  

Personal: Born October 7, 2002, she is the daughter of Ezio Bonifacio. She has a sister, Sara (27) who was a member of the Italian National Volleyball Team for nine seasons, helping them to a Gold Medal during the 2022 FIVB Nations League, the Italians first title in the event.

Bucs Sweep Cards, Set to Play For Second Straight National Title

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers are headed back to the NJCAA National Championship Game after sweeping the #7 Trinity Valley Cardinals 3-0 in the semifinals on Friday. FSW got a career high 18 kills from Victoria Zibecchi to lead a program three set record 54 kill attack to advance to the title game where they will face a familiar foe in the Miami Dade Sharks for the Championship.

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers returned home for the first time in nearly a month on Wednesday and laid the hammer down on the visiting Santa Fe Saints, sweeping the match 3-0 and in the process clinching their fourth consecutive Conference Championship and their first in the inaugural year of the Citrus Conference.

Bucs Take Five Set Thriller Over #14 Polk State

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were quite literally pushed to the brink Wednesday night on the road at #14 Polk State, scoring the final four points in a deciding fifth set to win it 15-13 and remain unbeaten at a perfect 21-0 on the season. The Bucs veterans came up big in the win as Alondra Alarcon finished with 24 kills and 22 digs while Roberta Purashaj dished out 57 assists and Izzy Collier pounded down 10 kills without an error in the victory.

Power Outage Can't Slow Down Electric Bucs Against Daytona

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers and their fans were amped up for their first home conference game in Suncoast Credit Union Arena in 356 days on Wednesday against #18 Daytona State, but ole sparky had different ideas as a power outage during warmups forced a change of venue as the Bucs and Falcons moved across the street to The Canterbury School for the Citrus Conference action.  The change in script didn't slow down the red hot Bucs though, as FSW dominated the first set to jump out in front and never looked back in a 3-0 sweep to remain perfect at 13-0 on the season.

Alondra Alarcon and Roberta Purashaj posted huge double-doubles as the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers swept the #15 Monroe Mustangs 3-0 in Tampa Saturday afternoon giving FSW Head Coach Thais Baziquetto-Allen her 100th win in her 4 ½ seasons since starting the Bucs program.

FSW Steamrolls Coastal Alabama, FSCJ to Move to 11-0

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers made short work of their opposition both literally and figuratively Friday afternoon in the Florida Challenge in Tampa, blowing past Coastal Alabama South and Florida State College at Jacksonville each in less than an hour in 3-0 sweeps to improve to 11-0 on the year.
