Bio
High School: Mendes is one of seven Brazilian natives on the Bucs roster in 2019. She makes her way to Fort Myers from Lavras, Minas Gerais where she attended Escola Estadual Monsenhor Joao Alves and was named the MVP of the Regional Championships in 2015. She led her team to a number of championships including the Regional and State of the School Games in Minas in 2016.
Personal: Born May 16, 2000, she is the daughter of Sidney and Silvana Mendes. She has one brother, Diego (16).

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers saw their inaugural 2019 season come to a close this weekend, but not before making some noise and finishing fourth at the FCSAA State Tournament in Jacksonville. After splitting a pair of matches on the opening day of the eight team tournament, the Bucs pulled off the upset of the weekend with a 3-2 win over #14 Central Florida on Saturday before falling for the second time in as many days to #13 Hillsborough to draw their first campaign to an end.
