Freshman (2022): Zibecchi saw action in 19 matches as a freshman for the Bucs, helping them to Suncoast Conference, FCSAA, and NJCAA National Championships.  She averaged 1.10 kills per set, finishing off 44 kills and committing just 13 errors to finish the season with a .326 hitting percentage. Her best game of the season came against Santa Fe when she notched 7 kills on just 9 swings in a 3-0 win over the Saints. She played in two of the Bucs contests at the National Tournament, picking up her lone kill in a Bucs win over Wallace State in the opening round.  

High School: Zibecchi was the first Argentinian to suit up for the Bucs, coming to Fort Myers from Villa Angela last season where she attended Santa Catalina de Siena High School.  As a senior she registered 180 kills and 30 aces in route to helping her team to the Argentinian Championships. 

Personal: Born March 3, 2004, she is the daughter of Silvia Graciela Cerno and Jose Roberto Zibecchi.  She has an older brother, Juan Pablo (21).

Following an outstanding career both on the court and in the classroom for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, two time NJCAA National Champion Victoria Zibecchi has capped her time in Fort Myers with the ultimate honor for a student-athlete as Tuesday she was named a 2024 CSC Academic All-American, an honor bestowed to just 20 student-athletes across all sports at the two year level nationwide.

The NJCAA National Championship trophy will reside in the white sand beaches of Southwestern Florida for at least one more year as the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers won their second straight NJCAA National Championship on Saturday night in Hutchinson, Kansas, shaking off a slow start to defeat their rivals and 3rd ranked Miami Dade 3-1 to complete the back to back against the Sharks.

Bucs Sweep Cards, Set to Play For Second Straight National Title

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers are headed back to the NJCAA National Championship Game after sweeping the #7 Trinity Valley Cardinals 3-0 in the semifinals on Friday. FSW got a career high 18 kills from Victoria Zibecchi to lead a program three set record 54 kill attack to advance to the title game where they will face a familiar foe in the Miami Dade Sharks for the Championship.

Victoria Zibecchi and Izzy Collier combined for 21 kills without a single error Thursday night as the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers steamrolled the #10 College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles 3-0 in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA National Tournament in the Hutchinson Sports Arena.

For the first time in the 54 year history of the FCSAA State Tournament, someone not named Miami Dade has won back to back State Championships. That someone was the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers on Saturday as the Bucs put together a dominating effort, sweeping the aforementioned Miami Dade Sharks 3-0 to clinch their second straight title, this one all the sweeter coming on their home floor in Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers.

Bucs Grind Out Win Over #16 Polk to Advance to State Championship Game

The top seeded Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers defended their home court against a pesky 4th seeded Polk State squad on Friday at the FCSAA State Tournament in Fort Myers, getting double-doubles from Alondra Alarcon, Roberta Purashaj, Victoria Zibecchi, and Sara Gasparini in a 3-1 win over the Eagles to advance to the State Championship game Saturday where they will once again square off with the 2nd seeded Miami Dade Sharks in round three between the two heavyweights this season.

Five Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers and their Coach were honored by the Citrus Conference Thursday night at the FCSAA State Tournament Banquet in Fort Myers as Alondra Alarcon, Victoria Zibecchi, Izzy Collier, and Nina Boledovicova were named All-Conference selections while Roberta Purashaj was named the Citrus Conference and FCSAA Player of the Year and Head Coach Thais Baziquetto-Allen was named the Conference Coach of the Year for the fourth straight season.

For the first time this season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers swept all three weekly awards presented by the FCSAA as Victoria Zibecchi was named the Player of the Week, Roberta Purashaj collected another Setter of the Week, and Abby Toeniskoetter was named the Defensive Player of the Week in a state release on Tuesday.

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers bounced back from their first loss of the season with a vengeance Wednesday night, taking their frustrations out on the unsuspecting Indian River State Pioneers in a 3-0 sweep to close out the 2023 regular season 24-1.

Goal number one.... complete. The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers returned home for the first time in nearly a month on Wednesday and laid the hammer down on the visiting Santa Fe Saints, sweeping the match 3-0 and in the process clinching their fourth consecutive Conference Championship and their first in the inaugural year of the Citrus Conference.

Bucs Block Stonewalls Titans

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers registered a program record 19 blocks and Alondra Alarcon became the first player in program history with back to back 20 kill games as FSW picked up their 13th win over a ranked opponent this season as they got past #17 Eastern Florida State 3-1 on the road Saturday afternoon in Melbourne to remain unbeaten at 22-0 on the year.

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers have been unbeatable on the court this season, going a perfect 18-0 while dropping just one set on the 2023 campaign in route to a #1 NJCAA National Ranking for the first six weeks of the season. Impressive enough in itself, the Bucs take it one step further, able to achieve their chemistry and success while putting out a starting lineup with seven players from seven different countries across the globe.

Victoria Zibecchi and Alondra Alarcon combined for 29 kills to lead the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers to a hard fought 3-0 win over the #17 Daytona State Falcons on the road Saturday afternoon to push FSW to a perfect 20-0 on the 2023 season.

Bucs Cruise Past Saints For Best Start in Program History at 16-0

Power Outage Can't Slow Down Electric Bucs Against Daytona

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers and their fans were amped up for their first home conference game in Suncoast Credit Union Arena in 356 days on Wednesday against #18 Daytona State, but ole sparky had different ideas as a power outage during warmups forced a change of venue as the Bucs and Falcons moved across the street to The Canterbury School for the Citrus Conference action.  The change in script didn't slow down the red hot Bucs though, as FSW dominated the first set to jump out in front and never looked back in a 3-0 sweep to remain perfect at 13-0 on the season.

Alarcon's Big Day Helps Baziquetto-Allen Get 100th Win With Bucs

Alondra Alarcon and Roberta Purashaj posted huge double-doubles as the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers swept the #15 Monroe Mustangs 3-0 in Tampa Saturday afternoon giving FSW Head Coach Thais Baziquetto-Allen her 100th win in her 4 ½ seasons since starting the Bucs program.

FSW Steamrolls Coastal Alabama, FSCJ to Move to 11-0

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers made short work of their opposition both literally and figuratively Friday afternoon in the Florida Challenge in Tampa, blowing past Coastal Alabama South and Florida State College at Jacksonville each in less than an hour in 3-0 sweeps to improve to 11-0 on the year.

Bucs Win Battle at the Beach Title, Purashaj MVP

For the second straight season, the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers are queens of the beach, as the Purple and Aqua swept #14 Monroe and #7 Trinity Valley in straight sets Saturday in Suncoast Credit Union Arena to win the 2023 Adventures in Paradise Battle at the Beach in Fort Myers. Alondra Alarcon and Anica Bobic were named to the All-Tournament Team while Roberta Purashaj was the Tournament MVP for the second consecutive season.

#1 FSW Defends Home Floor On Day One of Battle at the Beach

The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained unbeaten on the young 2023 season on Friday, defeating the Palm Beach State Panthers in a swift 1:02 in their home opener before dispatching #9 Utah State-Eastern 3-0 in their nightcap at the Adventures in Paradise Battle at the Beach in Suncoast Credit Union Arena to move to 6-0 on the year.

It may be a new look roster for the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers this season, but the 2023 version of the Purple and Aqua put the country on notice once again on Saturday, hammering 2022 National Tournament participant Central Wyoming 3-0 before taking it to #5 Salt Lake on their home floor in another 3-0 sweep to close the weekend a perfect 4-0 at the UFirst Intermountain Invitational.
