Florida SouthWestern sophomore Samantha Smith is moving on after graduating from FSW following her second straight National Championship this spring, but she isn’t going too far as Tuesday the Bucs two-way star signed at Florida A&M University where she will suit up for the Rattlers next season.

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers have three golden trophies sitting in their trophy case after winning back to back to back NJCAA National Championships from 2021-2023.  However, for the first time in program history, they will now have a Gold Glove sitting next to them as freshman Sydney McCray earned the Bucs first Gold Glove in program history as announced by the NFCA on Friday.

Florida SouthWestern ace Belle Sardja completed her postseason award trifecta on Wednesday as the sophomore star followed up NJCAA 1st Team All-American and NFCA National Pitcher of the Year honors with the most prestigious on field award for any NJCAA pitcher as she was named the 2023 NJCAA Division I National Pitcher of the Year.

Another day and another award for Florida SouthWestern star pitcher Belle Sardja on Monday as the Bucs ace was named the 2023 TUCCI/NFCA National Pitcher of the Year following her spectacular sophomore season for the Purple and Aqua.

For the first time in program history the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) put together an Academic All-District Team for the At-Large College Division, and in it’s first year, 10 different Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneer student-athletes earned their way onto the list.  The 10 Bucs female student-athletes to earn the honors marked the most of any school in the two-year ranks.
