Freshman (2024-2025): Gordon comes to FSW from Daytona State where she played her freshman season for the Falcons. She was a 2nd Team All-Citrus Conference performer, averaging 10.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while shooting 42% from the field. She scored in double figures 14 times including a career high 21 point performance in a win over East Georgia State. She also pulled down 10 or more rebounds six times with her season high coming in a win over St. Petersburg when she had 15. 

High School: Gordon prepped at Colonial High School in Orlando where she led her team to a State Championship Game appearance while averaging 4.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. 

Personal: Born September 27, 2006, she is the daughter of Mekilya and Dean Gordon.  She has an older brother, Rashi (23).

The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers fought off a late game comeback attempt by the visiting Santa Fe Saints for a 60-59 win Wednesday night in the final home game for the Bucs of the 2026 season.

Second Half Shark Attack Dooms Bucs

Four days ago the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers used a huge 20 point second half comeback to defeat the Eastern Florida State Titans on the road in Citrus Conference action. Wednesday the Bucs had the script flipped on them, watching as Miami Dade erased a 14 point FSW lead with a 53 point second half to stun FSW 92-85 and end a five game Buccaneer win streak.

Bishop Leads Massive Comeback Win For FSW

With 11:35 left in Saturday's Citrus Conference game the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers trailed the Eastern Florida State Titans by 18.  To that point, it just wasn't the Bucs afternoon. But, an offense rebound and putback from Chelsea Bishop began an almost unbelievable run by both Bishop and the Bucs to close out the game as FSW whittled down the Titans lead, tied the game late, and ultimately pulled off a shocking 64-62 win to punch their ticket to the 2026 postseason.

Big Second Half Pushes Bucs Past Hawks

As the old saying goes, it's not how you start, it's how you finish. That was a good thing for the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers on Wednesday night in Tampa as after a forgettable first half, the Bucs stormed out of the locker rooms in the third quarter with a 27 point quarter before finishing off the Hillsborough Hawks 72-66 to improve to 17-8 on the year.

Bucs Slip Late Against Santa Fe

Bucs Drop First Place Battle to #22 Daytona

In a game that lived up to it's hype, the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers and #22 Daytona State Falcons went toe to toe Monday night in a battle of the final two undefeateds in the Citrus Conference, but unfortunately for the Bucs, the Falcons came out on top of a 66-59 decision to take over first place in the league standings.

Hot Shooting Bucs Blow Past St. Pete

The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers kicked 2026 off with a bang Saturday afternoon at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, shooting a blazing 60% from the field as they breezed past the visiting St. Petersburg Titans 84-60 to remain unbeaten at 3-0 in Citrus Conference play.

Bucs Slam Saints in Citrus Opener

The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers picked the right time to play their best game of the 2025-2026 season on Saturday as they hammered the visiting Santa Fe Saints 91-54 in their Citrus Conference Opener with six players scoring in double figures led by Destinie Gordon who posted a big 17 point, 14 rebound double-double to push FSW to 8-5 on the year.

The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers wrapped up the Pete Arrington Thanksgiving Classic in style on Sunday, defeating the Albany Tech Titans 82-61 behind a 25 point performance from Chelsea Bishop and a 21 rebound afternoon from Destinie Gordon.

The #18 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers earned their best regular season win in program history on Saturday, knocking off the defending National Champion and #1 ranked Northwest Florida State Raiders 53-52 in front of their home crowd in a thrilling contest in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.

Turnovers Costly For Bucs in Home Opening Loss

Despite outshooting the visiting Western Wyoming Mustangs from both the field and the three point line Friday night in their home opener at Suncoast Credit Union Arena, the #18 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers fell 61-58 after committing 26 turnovers which turned into 28 points for the Mustangs on the night.

Bucs Opening Night Woes Continue

For the third straight season the joy of opening night was dashed after 40 minutes for the #12 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers as a lull heading into the half continued into the second and cost the Bucs in a 56-53 loss to DII #13 Chattahoochee Valley to begin their 2025-2026 campaign.
