Bowers Earns Second Straight CoSIDA Academic All-American® Award

Owen Bowers continues to etch her name in the history books as one year after becoming Florida SouthWestern’s first CoSIDA Academic All-American® in school history, she was once again named to the Academic All-American® Team in 2020-2021 making her the first junior college student-athlete in history to earn the award in back to back years.

After leading her team to a National Championship and earning First Team NJCAA All-American honors, Florida SouthWestern sophomore pitcher Alyssa O’Donnell has earned the pinnacle award of collegiate athletics as Monday she was named the 2020-2021 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year, marking her the top female student-athlete in the nation among College Division participants.

The Florida SouthWestern State Athletic Department brought home an NJCAA high three awards in the 2YSIDA Graphics & Publications Contest for the 2020-2021 athletic year, claiming 1st place accolades for their team schedule poster and game notes while earning 2nd place in the gameday graphics category.

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers had four members of their 2021 NJCAA National Championship squad honored on Friday as Alyssa O’Donnell, Rebeca Laudino, Janessa Plummer, and Feline Poot were all tabbed NFCA All-Americans marking the second straight season the Bucs had four players named to the All-American squad.

On the heels of leading her team to the 2021 NJCAA National Championship, Florida SouthWestern State pitcher Alyssa O’Donnell has been named the 2021 Schutt Sports/NFCA NJCAA Division I Pitcher of the Year.

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers are bringing the NJCAA National Championship trophy back to Fort Myers! The Bucs scored four runs in the 7th inning to break a 1-1 tie against the Grayson Vikings Saturday afternoon in Yuma, Arizona, going onto win the school's first National Championship with a 5-1 victory to finish the tournament a perfect 5-0.

The #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will play for their first NJCAA National Championship in program history Saturday after slugging their way past the #11 San Jacinto Coyotes 10-2 Friday afternoon in the National Tournament semifinals.

Cardiac Kids Do It Again! Bucs Onto National Semis With 2-1 Win Over Butler

Less than 24 hours removed from a thrilling 14-13 come from behind win over Seminole State, the #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers played another nailbiter Thursday afternoon against #2 Butler at the NJCAA National Tournament in Yuma, Arizona, hanging on late behind some outstanding defensive plays to down the Grizzlies 2-1 to advance to the Final Four of the tournament.

FSW Roars Back to Win in Epic Comeback at National Tournament

Florida SouthWestern State Head Coach Robert Iamurri has seen a lot of wins in his six years at the helm for the Buccaneers.  Wednesday, he said, may have been the best of them all as his Bucs battled back from a three run 7th inning deficit to win 14-13 in a walk off against #6 Seminole State to advance to the semifinal round of the winner's bracket at the NJCAA National Tournament in Yuma, Arizona.
