44 Florida SouthWestern student-athletes from all five teams were honored by the NJCAA, FCSAA, Suncoast and Southern Conferences for their work in the classroom this year on Monday as the group saw awards given for NJCAA All-Academic, Academic All-State, and Academic All-Conference accolades.

The #20 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers dropped an overtime heartbreaker to the #14 Chipola Indians 63-61 Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the FCSAA State Tournament, likely bringing an end to the Bucs 2021-2022 season.

The #17 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers polished off their fifth straight Conference Championship in style Saturday afternoon in Suncoast Credit Union Arena, blowing out the Miami Dade Sharks 80-62 to close out the regular season and head into the postseason on a high note.

#17 FSW Stunned at the Wire by Pioneers

The #17 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers led by five with under 30 seconds to go and led by four with less than 15 seconds to go Wednesday night on the road at Indian River, but with 0 seconds to go, the Bucs were on the short end of a 63-62 decision as the Pioneers rained in nine points in the game's final 27 seconds to stun the Bucs in FSW's penultimate game of the 2022 regular season.

Rodriguez/Retamales Lead Bucs Past Hawks, FSW Clinches Share of Conference Crown

Sariana Rodriguez and Macarena Retamales combined for 38 points to lead the #18 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers over the Hillsborough Hawks 82-70 in Southern Conference action Saturday in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.  With the win, the Bucs clinch at least a share of their fifth straight conference title.
