Freshman (2023): Toeniskoetter played in 11 matches for the National Champs last season, averaging 1.55 kills and 1.09 blocks per set while leading the team with a .525 hitting percentage. She recorded her first career kill in a 3-0 FSW sweep over Central Wyoming on opening weekend and two weeks later, had the best game of her rookie campaign, finishing off 8 kills on just 11 swings, good for a .727 hitting percentage in a win over Coastal Alabama. She had her best match in Citrus Conference play in the Bucs final regular season match of the year, dialing up 6 kills and career high 5 blocks in a 3-0 sweep of Indian River.
High School: Toeniskoetter joined the Bucs last season after winning a pair of State Championships inside of Suncoast Credit Union Arena while at Lake Worth Christian High School. She was a four time All-County selection for the Defenders and was a two time finalist for the Palm Beach Post Player of the Year. Toeniskoetter put up eye popping numbers during her high school career, finishing with 1,115 kills, 425 blocks, and 71 aces while hitting .473 during her career. As a senior in 2022 she led the state of Florida in kills with 463 and blocks with 114. Also a stand out in the classroom, Toeniskoetter won a number of academic awards during her time at LWCHS including being a member of the National Honors Society and Presidents Honor Roll while also being her class Valedictorian. Toeniskoetter also had success on the club circut where she won a pair of National Championships playing for the Palm Beach Juniors.
Personal: Born May 8, 2005, she is the daughter of Jeff and Stacy Toeniskoetter and has one sister, Hanna. She comes from an athletic family as her father Jeff played Basketball at Rochurst University, her mother Stacy was a Cheerleader at the University of Kansas, her cousin Lindsay Anderson played Volleyball at Northwestern, and another cousin, Adam Toeniskoetter played Football at the University of Central Florida.

Bucs fans won’t have to go far to cheer on Anna Marzella next season as the two time National Champ is headed just down the road to Florida Gulf Coast University to continue her Volleyball and academic career.
Florida SouthWestern sophomore Nele Broszat will pack her bags for a nearly 2,700 mile journey this fall after signing with Cal State Bakersfield where she will suit up for he Roadrunners in 2025.

A trio of Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association in their postseason awards release recently as Julija Grubisic Cabo was named a 1st Team All-American, Abby Toeniskoetter was named a 2nd Team All-American, and Head Coach Thais Baziquetto-Allen was named the Northeast/Southeast Regional Coach of the Year.
After leading the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers to their third straight NJCAA National Championship, sophomores Julija Grubisic Cabo and Abby Toeniskoetter have been named 1st Team NJCAA All-Americans, the second straight year that two Bucs have earned the honor.
The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers made NJCAA history Saturday night in Clarksville, Tennessee, defeating their arch rivals, the Miami Dade Sharks to win their third consecutive NJCAA National Championship, the first team to do that in the Division I era.
Going into Thursday's NJCAA National Tournament Quarterfinal matchup with the #8 Utah State Eastern Golden Eagles, the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers had only gone more than three sets three times during the entirety of the 2024 season. Thursday they had their work cut out for them though as the Golden Eagles took them to the brink, but the Bucs didn't falter, pulling out a thrilling five set win, including a 15-13 victory in the fifth to punch their ticket to Friday's Final Four.
